Katy Watson is a London-based photographer specialised in portraiture. Through her unique approach, she uses her camera to capture unseen realities and reveal the depths of human emotion through her lens. Whether through social documentary, personal branding, or corporate headshots, she sees photography as an incredible tool for empowerment and X. Over the last ten years, she has worked with leading businesses, local governments, non-profits, and the arts, with her work being featured in The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and Vice.
While she focuses mostly on London and the UK, she is also experienced working in different cultural contexts, having taken up assignments in destinations such as Havana, Bangkok and Freetown in recent years. Photography aside, her passions also include listening to afrobeats and learning about astronomy. Her goal this year is to use photography as a meaningful medium to transmit positivity and hope.
